A track and cross country runner at Alma College, he graduated in 2014 with PR’s of 15:54.42 in the 5k and 9:39.69 in the 3000 meter steeplechase. He set those two marks in his senior year for the Scots and it followed his best year in cross country. Pollack ran a PR at the MIAA meet in 2013 of 27:14 only to drop his time to run a 26:52 two weeks later at the Great Lakes Regional meet over the 8k course. As a member of the Oxford High School track and cross country program, he ran 17:37 for a 5k his senior year, after playing football for his first three fall seasons. Pollack came back and clocked a 4:46 for 1600 meters and a 10:32 for the 3200 meter run as a captain for the Wildcats in the spring of 2010.
