An All-America selection for Olivet College (Mich.) during the 2015 outdoor season, in the 3000 meter Steeplechase, posting a personal best of 9:04.94.  Benkovsky holds many indoor and outdoor school records and was a four year member of the XC and Track and Field teams at Olivet, in addition to being a member of the swimming team his first three years in college. He earned ten varsity letters at Olivet College and arrived on campus after a successful career at Eaton Rapids High School.
