While at Manistique High School, Kelsey swam for four years and pole vaulted for two years.  She continued with athletics at Grand Valley State University, competing with the Grand Valley Rowing Club.  At GVSU, Kelsey earned Academic All American honors all four years from the American Collegiate Rowing Association.  After graduating in 2015, she started the Physical Therapy program at Wayne State University.  Kelsey is looking to fit running more into her busy schedule.   Her goal is to run some shorter road races in the spring and her big goal is to compete in the Detroit Free Press half marathon in 2017.
