An All-League selection for Olivet College (Mich.) in the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Association in cross country, Lutzke was a four year member of the Comet XC and track and field teams. In each of his four XC seasons he was the top runner for the team and also set numerous school records on the track in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Greg graduated from Williamston High School, where he was on a state championship XC team his freshman year and ran at state’s his sophomore year, where the team placed 6th. The team MVP his senior season at WHS, he improved his 5k time by almost two minutes in college running 15:08.
