RCRC Competes Across the State

May 13-15, 2016- Jalen Weaver started the weekend off racing his second 800m in two weeks, this time at GVSU and unfortunately was not able to compete at the level he would have liked with a lingering quad injury.  Andrew Benkovsky was the next RCRC racer for the weekend, finishing with a sixth place finish in the Old Kent Riverbank 5k in Grand Rapids, posting a time of 16:09.  Teammate, Andrew Mangiapane ran the Ford Brothers 5k in Westland crossing the finish line in 16:15 and winning by over two minutes.   On Sunday, Alex Pollack won the Dragon Dash 5k by over a minute with a time of 17:24 in Lake Orion.  Greg Lutzke, Dom Reed, and Matt Inch all competed in the Prove It 5k on the GM testing race track in Milford.  Lutzke (16:26) finished in second place, Reed (16:46) was third, and Inch (17:15) finished in fifth place.  Congratulations to all racers who survived a cold weekend of racing in May!
