While at Riverview Community High School, Mark played basketball was an All-District and All-League player in soccer.  After graduating in 2007, he attended Oakland Community College, Mark was soccer team captain and helped his team win the league championship.  Mark is currently finishing up his Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University’s on-line program.  Mark played soccer for a few seasons with a post collegiate semi-pro soccer team and has just recently decided to pick up running more seriously and see where it leads.  After training for less than five months, Mark was able to race distances from 5k to half marathon.  Mark’s current focus is to become faster in the 5k to 10k race distances.  Along with completing his Bachelor’s degree, Mark is working at Running Specialty Group in Northville.
