A 2011 graduate of Ithaca High School, Misty earned All State honors her senior year in the 800m run.  She was captain of both squads her senior year and held school records in three events and ran high school personal best times of 2:23, 5:24, 11:43 and 19:50.  Misty followed up her successful career at Ithaca HS with another successful venture at Alma College.  During her college career, Misty was All League and All Region selection in cross country.  On the track, Misty ran 11:09 in the steeplechase and 18:19 in the 5k where she still holds the steeplechase school record.   Misty graduated in May of 2015 and spent the fall helping coach cross country at Ithaca HS and now works in public accounting at Plante Moran in metro Detroit.  After a year of running easy on her own, Misty is looking to get back into racing shape and focus on running road races.
